Our History

About Juliette Fowler

Juliette Peak Fowler was a trailblazer in philanthropy and faith-driven service. Born in 1837 in Upstate New York and later moving to Texas, she grew up with a strong commitment to helping others. Inspired by her deep faith, she left a portion of her estate to establish a home for widows and orphans in East Dallas—a place where individuals could experience dignity, love and belonging. That intergenerational commitment remains today, and her legacy of compassion continues to guide our mission.
